History of Our Company
- 1995 - The company was founded by Thomas Boylan and
started as a janitorial company that specialized in floor
care.
- 1998 - Marble floor restoration
was added to our services and Dr. Fred Hueston started
serving as a technical consultant on stone restoration.
- 1999 - Company name changed to Boylan Maintenance
Service.
- 2002 - Marble repair added to our floor care service.
- 2004 - Building Maintenance and Management Inc. was
formed to incorporate our diversified business.
- 2005 - The company expanded into terrazzo repair.
- 2006 - In January of 2006, Belle
Arte Ltd. was formed to be a company solely dedicated to
the environmentally friendly and sustainable care,
restoration and repair of natural stone and terrazzo.
- 2006 - In the summer of 2006, Sam
Lanzafame invested in Belle Arte Ltd. and became a minority
shareholder. He was brought in for his business
administration background.
- 2007 - In September, Thomas Boylan
became the sole owner of the company. The company was
renamed to Boylan Marble & Terrazzo Restoration Ltd. d/b/a
Belle Arte.
Boylan Marble & Terrazzo Restoration Ltd. is the only
veteran owned small business, recognized
by SBA,
located in Upstate New York that is dedicated solely to the
environmentally friendly and sustainable care and restoration of
natural stone and terrazzo. Boylan Marble and Terrazzo
Restoration Ltd., employs a workforce of skilled craftsmen,
trained and certified by the National Training Center for Stone.
Boylan Marble & Terrazzo Restoration Ltd. has the expertise and
the specialized equipment to restore large common areas as well
as confined areas that require skilled handwork, such as
reception areas, counter tops, and staircases.
Our company is not in plumbing, manufacturing, roofing,
janitorial, paving, asbestos removal or banking business, etc.,
but a solely dedicated company to the natural stone and terrazzo
restoration and preservation.
Boylan Marble & Terrazzo Restoration Ltd. is a member of the US
Green Building Council, Marble Institute of America, AASHE, the
International Stone Institute, NTC Stone, and our State and
Local Historical Societies.
